On August 13th-14th, 2009 Millenniata will be attending the Society of American Archivists Conference in Austin, Texas. There will be a featured booth with product displays.
"After attending last year's SAA show, Millenniata is excited to share with the archival community how far we have come in this last year," said Dennis Decker, Senior V.P. of Marketing-North America.
Millenniata is working with many key organizations across several diverse fields. Such fields include, libraries, national and state institutions, medical, law and financial businesses.
The question often rises on whether or not the software and hardware needed to read the Millennial Disc Series will be available in 30 or 100 years. Henry O’Connell, CEO, offers his opinion.
“We're one part of the puzzle," O'Connell said. "We're one element in the data strategy. What Millenniata is doing is giving options that didn't exist before."
Millenniata currently offers two products. The M-ARC™ Disc is the first product in the DVD format of the Millennial Disc™ Series. Information is written to the data layer, creating a permanent change. The disc is backwards-compatible.
The M-Writer™ Drive is specifically designed to enable users to write permanent data onto the M-ARC™ Disc. The drive can be connected to any computer with an industry-standard USB 2.0 interface. Once information is on a M-ARC™ Disc, it can be read by any standard computer.
